Brian Anderson is a lifelong educator who began his career teaching German youth to play baseball while in high school. He grew up as a military son and went to Florida State University to pursue a degree in education. After graduation, he moved to Idaho to begin his career as a middle school language arts and physical education teacher and coach. After three years, he moved to Texas and taught physical education in DeSoto for two years. After a brief sojourn to Denham Springs, LA, where he taught fourth grade, he came to Carrollton Farmers Branch ISD during spring break in 2001.
Mr. Anderson remained at Vivian Field Middle School through 2015, teaching History, AVID, Physical Education, and serving as Athletic Director for some of those years. While teaching, he pursued his master’s degree in Educational Administration from Texas Woman’s University. He earned that degree in 2014 as a member of the Gold Key Society for outstanding academic achievement. He was then hired to be an assistant principal at Ranchview High School. He served for three years before moving to Creekview High School, where he has been since 2018.
Throughout his years in CFBISD, Mr. Anderson has participated in and led multiple leadership and educational committees. He has also been involved as the webmaster and social media specialist at Creekview during his time there. He has earned multiple awards, including Vivian Field Campus VIP in 2005, Teacher of the Year by the Masons in 2013-2014, and the Crimson Honor for Leadership from Creekview High School in 2019. Mr. Anderson is a proud father of four, two in college, and two still in high school. He spends his spare time at their baseball and softball games. He also likes to read and play disc golf.
Hi, my name is Rebecca Beck, and I’m excited to continue serving as an Assistant Principal at Blalack Middle School! This year marks my 28th year in education. I began my career in CFBISD at Davis Elementary before teaching at Blalack Middle School and Perry Middle School. I also served in district leadership roles supporting technology and College, Career, and Military Readiness programs across K–12, and Interim Assistant Principal at Rosemeade Elementary.
Outside of school, I’m a proud mom to a son majoring in accounting at NCTC. I also have two spoiled pups, Rocky and Lacy, and a wonderful husband — fun fact: we met way back in middle school! My hobbies include working out, learning more Spanish, and spending time with family.
I’m thrilled to be part of the Blalack Bear family and look forward to another amazing year! 🐻
Hello, I am Austin Harmon, and this is my 2nd year as an Assistant Principal at Blalack. This is my 29th year in the district. I previously worked at Creekview HS (15 years), Newman Smith HS (7 years), and Turner HS (2 years)as a Behavior Resource Specialist and at Bea Salazar as an Assistant Principal (3 years). I also was a CPI trainer in CFB for 17 years. I earned my Master’s Degree in Behavior Analysis from The University of North Texas and my Principal’s Certification from Lamar University. I have been married for 27 years to my amazing wife Karen and we have 2 children (Megan and Turner) who both went to Blalack. I am also a 1st time grandparent to the cutest little girl, Paisley Mae. I am excited about continuing the journey as a Blalack Bear!
